Spinach Salad


White sauce*
pepper or lemon pepper to taste
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2-3 tablespoons vinegar
3 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled, or 2-3 tablespoons Bacos
Spinach leaves

Make a thin white sauce (water based) and add pepper to taste. Add vinegar and sugar. Cook, stirring constantly. Crumble cooked bacon or Bacos into sauce. Pour over spinach leaves while still hot.

*To make the white sauce: stir together 1 tablespoon of butter, 1 tablespoon flour, and 1/2 cup of water. Heat until starts to thicken and flour is cooked.

Don't add all of the water all at once, add in slowly while stirring. -
