Toffee (graham Crackers)


24 double graham crackers (double = 4 pieces)
2 cubes margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup chopped nuts

Line large pan with foil.

Melt margarine and add sugar. Cook until creamy, stirring constantly.

Takes several minutes to get foamy.

Dribble margarine and sugar mixture over crackers. May seem wet, but it’s ok. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Place cookie sheet on wire rack to col. Cut grahams on breaking line. Cool. Remove from foil and store in airtight container when cool.
